Our approach

Flow aims to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The add-in operates entirely on your machine and your network. No documents, designs, or iProperty values ever leave your environment.

Telemetry

On application startup, Flow sends a single telemetry request. No personal or company data is collected. The data helps us understand which Inventor versions and licence tiers are in active use, so we can prioritise development and support. The telemetry is limited to info like:

  • Anonymised PC identifier — a one-way hash unique to your machine. Cannot be reversed to identify the computer, user, or organisation.
  • Flow version — the installed build number of the add-in.
  • Inventor version — the host Inventor release (2025, 2026, or 2027).
  • Licence type — whether the installation is running as Free or Donor.

What is not collected

  • Personal data (names, email addresses, user accounts)
  • Company or organisational identifiers
  • Document contents, file paths, or iProperty values
  • Network addresses or location data
  • Usage patterns, commands executed, or session duration

Data storage and sharing

Aggregated telemetry is stored by the developer and used solely for product planning. Data is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for marketing.

Offline operation

Flow is designed to work without internet access. The telemetry request is best-effort: if no network is available, Flow starts normally with no loss of functionality. Licence verification is performed entirely offline using local cryptographic signatures.

Your rights

Because no personal data is collected, individual data access or deletion requests under GDPR do not apply. The anonymised PC hash cannot be linked to a natural person.
