General configuration controls where Flow stores configuration files and how the main add-in UI behaves.

Use this tab to configure the ribbon tab name, Property Edit panel name, About dialog logo, mass display options, module availability, hover behavior, thickness analysis behavior, and diagnostic logging.

Diagnostics are written to the temporary Prop-tools folder only when logging is enabled.

Team configuration deployment

When a CAD administrator sets a shared configuration path (network folder or Vault), Flow writes that path to the global settings file:

%appdata%\Autodesk\Inventor 202X\Addins\Flow\Flow_Global.xml

To roll out a shared configuration to the entire team, the administrator can distribute this single file to all users’ corresponding AppData directories. Each user then automatically picks up the shared config on next restart without opening the Configuration dialog.

This approach allows the admin to configure everything once, test locally, then distribute only the global pointer file.
